Access to Landbased Industries - Part 1
An access level programme introducing the learner to a range of skills used in Landbased employment. The course covers elements of Horticulture, Landscaping, Agriculture and Estates work and includes employability skills with the aim of preparing the student to choose a more specialist field and for employment. The course is extremely practical and hands-on and may include visits to local employers. PPE will be provided through student bursary allowance where applicable.
There are no formal entry requirements – all candidates will be interviewed to assess suitability and discuss expectations.
Method of Assessment
Continually assessed practical work and a small number of written assessments.
The aim of this programme is to allow progression to a chosen area of specialism in Access to Landbased Industries – Part 2 (see options).
