Certificate in Fashion Business and Events
Learners will gain a broad knowledge within these two career areas, preparing them for employment or further study in Fashion Business or Events. Subjects studied include: Retail Buying; Retail Fashion Industry; Introduction to Fashion; Visual Merchandising; Branding; Event Organisation; Event Investigation; Event Costing; Marketing and Work Experience. Learners will also gain hands-on experience by organising and planning events including the College’s Fashion Show.
A minimum of four National 4 qualifications. Consideration will also be given to applicants with other relevant qualifications or life/work experience. Applicants should have a desire to work towards a career within the industries or progress towards HNC Events or HNC Fashion Business. Applicants will undertake an interview and task to assess suitability for the course.
Method of Assessment
Each unit will be continually assessed through end of unit assessments or by the completion of course work. No end of course assessment or exam.
Further study includes HNC Events or HNC Fashion Business, employment or apprenticeship.
