UAL Level 3 Diploma in Art & Design (SCQF Level 6)
Course Content
This UAL Level 3 course is a fantastic opportunity to extend your art and design skill-set by engaging you in thought-provoking and problem-solving creative projects. This diploma programme allows learners to further develop practical skills and express their individual ideas by exploring media and processes. Our lecturers are practising artists/designers who will mentor you through a range of projects and activities that include: 2D/3D projects spanning contemporary art and design, figure and observational drawing, digital media, painting, design and exploring the work of relevant artists and designers.
Entry Requirements
Minimum of 2 relevant Nat 5/equivalent qualifications, preferred English and Art/Design or successful completion of a relevant SCQF level 5 course (and minimum 85% attendance on this course). At interview applicants should bring a portfolio of art and design work such as drawings/designs/photography. Digital portfolios submissions are also accepted. Mature candidates without formal qualifications will be considered on presentation of a portfolio.
Method of Assessment
Continuous internal/external assessment with the focus on portfolio production and submission.
Future Prospects
Successful learners may progress onto our HNC 3D Design course or or apply to other HN level Art & Design course in our department.
