Certificate in Child, Health and Social Care at SCQF Level 5
This course will enable you to study key subjects across child, health and social care areas such as: Human Development and Behaviour, Play and Healthy Eating in Care Setting. Essential Skills such as Communication, IT and Numeracy will also be included. This will include a mixture of indoor and outdoor learning (both face-to-face and remote delivery). In Forfar this course runs from 9am - 1pm, 4 mornings a week. The times remain the same throughout the year.
Three National 4s (in an academic area), or Level 4 college course or equivalent. Adult returners with no formal qualifications but have previous work/voluntary experience will also be considered. Selection will be based on the following: personal statement, qualifications and/or experience, one satisfactory reference and completion of a short values task.
Method of Assessment
Assessments include continuous project-based work, closed book end of unit assessments, presentations and open book investigations.
Completion may lead onto a relevant Level 6 course in care.
