Certificate in Child, Health and Social Care at SCQF Level 5
Course Content
This course will enable you to study key subjects across child, health and social care areas such as: Human Development and Behaviour, Play and Healthy Eating in Care Setting. Essential Skills such as Communication, IT and Numeracy will also be included. In Forfar this course runs from 9.30am - 1.00pm, 5 mornings a week. The times remain the same throughout the year.
Entry Requirements
Three National 4s (in an academic area) or equivalent. Adult returners with no formal qualifications but have previous work/voluntary experience will also be considered. Selection will be based on the following: personal statement, qualifications and/or experience, one satisfactory reference and completion of a short values task.
Method of Assessment
Assessments include continuous project-based work, closed book end of unit assessments, presentations and open book investigations.
Future Prospects
Completion may lead onto the following courses: Access to Nursing; Access to Nursing and Social Services; Advanced Certificate in Health and Social Care; PDA Education Support Assistance; NC Early Education and Childcare.
