Fast Track to Administration: Medical, Office Skills and Services
This new course will provide learners with the key knowledge and skills required to work in an office environment. The medical units will give learners the opportunity to widen their skill set to suit working in a medical environment. It will also provide excellent progression routes for further study or the opportunity to go straight into employment. D&A College has strong employer links with many organisations throughout Tayside. As part of the course we will endeavour to visit an organisation (which may include the NHS) and organise relevant industry talks from guest speakers.
Applicants must demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for administration. Good reading, writing and communication skills are essential. Mature applicants will be assessed on an individual basis and may be required to undertake an exercise. Selection will be based upon interview.
Method of Assessment
A mixture of SQA and college-based units. There will be continual assessment throughout the year and no end of course test.
Successful completion, and satisfactory reference, may allow progression to Administration Academy or Advanced Certificate in Business: Administration and IT at D&A College or directly into employment.
