Fast Track to Administration: Medical, Office Skills and Services
This exciting new course which has been added to the Business team’s portfolio provides candidates
with the key knowledge and skills required to work in an office environment. The medical units allows candidates the opportunity to widen their skill set to suit working in a medical environment. It also provides excellent progression routes for further study or the opportunity to go straight into employment. The College has strong employer links with a variety of organisations throughout Tayside. As part of your course we will endeavour to visit an organisation (which may include the NHS) and organise for guest speakers to give talks on relevant key issues relating to industry today.
Applicants must demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for administration. Good reading, writing and communication skills are desirable. Mature applicants will be assessed on an individual basis and may be required to undertake an exercise. Selection will be based upon interview and core skills testing.
Method of Assessment
A mixture of SQA and college based units. There will be no end of course test but continual assessment throughout the year.
Successful candidates may progress on to Administration Academy, Advanced Certificate in Business: Admin & IT course or gain employment in the health sector as a receptionist/admin assistant.
