Certificate in Art & Design: Interior Design
Course Content
This is the perfect design and skills driven course aimed at beginners interested in all aspects associated with Interior Design. Applicants will develop a strong foundation within the design process through sketchbook development. 3D thinking and creativity will be explored through an exciting variety of project-based work, during which you will develop your knowledge of using workshop tools and techniques some of which could be product-focused. Subjects include drawing and mixed media, research skills, interior design, 2D & 3D design, software skills, personal project, surface decoration/pattern, and making skills. Teaching takes place in our design and workshop studios with our supportive and friendly staff.
Entry Requirements
Minimum 1 National 5 qualification in a related subject, preferably Art & Design. A similar level of qualification in English is also desirable.
Method of Assessment
Ongoing continuous assessment.
Future Prospects
Successful learners may progress onto our HNC 3D Design: Interiors and Product design, or apply to other HN level Art & Design course in our department.
