Access to Animal Care (Part 2)

Course Content

This course continues to lay down foundations in Animal Care including personal development as well as employment skills within an animal care setting.

Entry Requirements

Applicants are required to have an interest in the care and handling of animals and be able to demonstrate the ability to work at SCQF level 3/4 (reading, writing & numeracy). Applications are welcome from learners who have previously studied Access to Animal Care Part 1 as well as new applicants.

Method of Assessment

This course is very practical and is assessed through carrying out practical tasks. The theory element of the course is assessed throughout the year.

Future Prospects

This course sets a foundation for further study. Successful learners may wish to apply to progress onto the Introduction to Animal Care course.
