Motor Vehicle Engineering Level 2
Course Content
This course covers topics such as vehicle-servicing; engines; chassis; steering; suspension; brakes; wheels; tyres; and electrical systems. Also included is vehicle workshop health and safety; fabrication with tools and measuring equipment.
Entry Requirements
Successful progression from the Entry Level 3 Motor Vehicle course or at least two National 4 passes (or equivalent). The selection process will be based on applicant personal statement, experience and qualifications.
Method of Assessment
Online exams and practical observations.
Future Prospects
Employment in the motor vehicle and mechanical fitting sectors. Modern Apprenticeship opportunities within these sectors are also available.
