City & Guilds Diploma in Horticulture (SCQF Level 6)
Course Content
This course is aimed primarily at learners who wish to work within the horticultural industry or wish to progress to other related qualifications in the land-based sector. The course is built around horticultural units, which also include some hard landscaping, and plant production units.
Entry Requirements
Minimum of two National 5 qualifications (or equivalent) at grade C or above or National Certificate in Horticulture or appropriate units in horticulture/landscaping/estates. We will consider applicants who have relevant experience but no formal qualifications.
Method of Assessment
Ongoing assessments - observation of practical tasks, written assignments and garden design projects. Also includes a 50 hour work experience unit.
Future Prospects
HNC Horticulture; HNC Landscape Management; HND Horticulture.
