Enhance welding skills in a variety of joint configurations, thicknesses and weld positions using selected industrial welding process and Carbon Steel. These include Manual Metal Arc (MMA), Metal Arc Gas Shielded (MAGS), and Tungsten Arc Gas Shielded (TAGS). Appropriate training and practice to help reach the required competency level to be assessed to a BS4872 Welder Approval Test.
This course is delivered one evening a week over 10 weeks.
Welding has many safety factors and if you are interested in this course and you have underlying health problems please consult your doctor/optician prior to commencement (epilepsy, heart condition, visual impairment/contact lens). Students will need PPE (flame retardent boilersuit, boots), and a notebook and pen.
This 25 hour course is a good opportunity to test the water if you are interested in becoming a full-time welding student and to find out if this trade is for you.
