Introduction to Teaching English as a Foreign Language
This course introduces the basics of Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) also known as Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). This interactive taster course focuses on language analysis, teaching methodology and lesson planning and learners will acquire a toolkit of ideas and gain confidence in their ability to either start teaching or to apply for a further teaching qualification. Learners will be given the opportunity to observe experienced teachers and to gain valuable skills by working as volunteers in our ESOL classes. These opportunities will be discussed during the course and will take place during the course or after it has finished.
