Introduction to Mindfulness
Have you ever wanted to learn a little more about mindfulness? We seem to hear about this meditation and stress reduction technique everywhere these days. Mindfulness has been found to benefit our wellbeing and reduce stress. This short session will introduce you to the key principles of mindfulness and a little of the scientific research. Importantly, you will get opportunities to experience short practices with guidance from the teacher. You will also learn about an opportunity to take part in a 6 week Workplace Mindfulness Training (MT) course that is on offer at D&A College if you choose to further develop your mindfulness practice. All you will need is a cosy throw/blanket, a cushion or two and the space and time for self-care.
