How to Prevent Infection (Skills Boost/YPG)

Course Content

This short course will develop your knowledge and understanding of the causes of infection, the ways in which infection enters the body, the spread of infection and the ways in which the body fights infection. This is complemented with the knowledge and understanding surrounding antiseptic, sterilisation, disinfection procedures and disposal of infected material.

Entry Requirements

You should be interested in working with children and young people, in health or social care. You may already work in the sector and would like to enhance your knowledge or are new to the sector and looking to reskill.
