CIH Level 5 Diploma In Housing
A one year vocational qualification for aspiring professionals, supervisors and managers who wish to achieve CIH Chartered Membership (CIHCM). Chartered status is a demonstration of housing expertise, commitment and ethical standards. This qualification consists of the following units: ethical practice in housing; leadership and management in housing; strategic and business planning for housing organisations; housing in context; managing relationships in housing; and professional practice skills in housing. Learners are provided with the knowledge and understanding across the key areas of housing practice at a recognised professional standard and provided with the skills to perform in a senior management role.
Applicants should be working in either a paid or voluntary capacity in housing and also have completed one of the following: CIH Level 4 Certificate in Housing; CIH Level 4 Certificate, or Diploma in Housing Practice, or equivalent.
Method of Assessment
Students have access to online course materials and are assigned a college tutor who will provide on-going support throughout their studies.
On successful completion, learners will be eligible for CIH Chartered Membership and can progress to the University of Stirling or University of Glasgow to undertake a Postgraduate Diploma/MSc in Housing Studies.
