Course Content

An introductory vocational qualification for the housing sector. This qualification aims to give learners an understanding of housing and provide them with some of the skills and knowledge to participate in housing-related activities. The course comprises the following four mandatory units: housing provision and housing organisations; customer service in housing; professional development in housing; and asset, repairs and maintenance. Suitable for those who are new to housing or work in a frontline position, individuals not currently working in housing but considering a frontline housing position as a career option, tenants and residents wishing to enhance their knowledge and understanding of housing issues.

Entry Requirements

This course is particularly suitable for applicants who are new to the housing sector or work in a frontline position who wish to improve their general awareness of housing issues and gain an initial qualification in housing.

Method of Assessment

Learners have access to online tutorials, course materials and are allocated a college tutor who will provide ongoing support during their studies.

Future Prospects

This course will prepare learners for future study. On successful completion, learners can progress to CIH Level 3 Certificate in Housing Practice.
