Get Into Horticulture
A very hands-on, basic programme of study covering: plant propagation, tree and shrub planting, hard landscaping, plant maintenance, grounds maintenance and horticultural machinery.
There are no formal entry requirements, however applicants will be invited to an interview where they must demonstrate a real passion for plants and have a desire to develop and create landscape features. Applicants must be willing to work outdoors in all weathers and work as part of a team on practical, physically demanding tasks.
Method of Assessment
Learners will be assessed carrying out practical tasks along with a theoretical element, which is assessed throughout the course. There is no final exam.
On successful completion of this course learners may consider the NC Introduction to Horticulture course at level 4 (based at Kingsway Campus) or Introduction to Estate Skills (based at Arbroath Campus).
