Next Steps 3
Course Content
This course is designed to build on the skills developed in Next Steps 2 and encourages learners to be more independent where possible while offering a supported environment to continue their development. A part of the course will support students to explore opportunities beyond college, as they look to plan their next steps. The timetable of this course includes: essential skills (ICT, Communication, Numeracy, Working with Others and Problem Solving); enterprising skills; independent living skills; health and well-being.
Entry Requirements
There are no specific pre-entry requirements other than a willingness to study and to participate fully as a learner at college although applicants are expected to have successfully completed Next Steps 2. Some practical subjects will include a level of physical activity.
Future Prospects
Employment referrals; supported employment referrals; referrals to Skills Development Scotland; volunteering and wider community opportunities.
