Course Content
This course provides a supportive environment within which learners with additional support needs can adjust to their new surroundings and explore the wider college experience. This is an opportunity for young people with additional support needs to consider their next steps and prepare for further study and the world of work. The timetable for this course includes essential skills; career management skills; health and well-being; citizenship. Learners will have the opportunity to participate in other vocational areas of study within D&A College. This course is an ideal stepping stone to other further education courses within the college or an opportunity to prepare for the world of work.
Entry Requirements
There are no specific pre-entry requirements other than a willingness to study and to participate fully as a learner at college although applicants should be able to work at the required level of study and at times independently. Some classes may require a level of physical ability and fitness.
Future Prospects
Learners may have the opportunity to progress onto other courses within Supported Education or vocational courses within D&A College. Those wishing to seek employment would be referred to the Employment Support Service.
