Why study Early Learning and Childcare at D&A College?

Looking for a career that makes a difference? If you enjoy spending time with young children and you’re passionate about helping them grow and learn then you could have what it takes to help shape the future generation.

At Dundee and Angus College we offer a wide range of courses, both part-time and full-time, from SCQF Level 4-8. We have fantastic relationships with local employers and have around 195 full-time and 70 part-time learners in an early years placement gaining valuable real-life work experience.

Our school link childcare and healthcare courses offer senior school pupils the chance to begin their careers with the potential to progress to full-time study or a Foundation Apprenticeship. This involves a combination of part-time attendance at college, placement and school, enabling learners to maximise their employability while still gaining academic qualifications.

Our Future Skills College is a unique opportunity for senior school pupils to totally immerse themselves in college life and gain experience and qualifications in an early years setting.

By 2020, there will be up to 11,000 new jobs available in this sector with an amazing career progression for both genders – we positively encourage applications from males. There are many roles and qualifications available so you can build your career according to your preferences and circumstances.
