How to Prevent Infection
Course content

Are you interested in working with children and young people or in health and social care?
Maybe you already work in one of these areas and would like to enhance your knowledge or are new to the sector and looking to reskill.

This short course will develop your knowledge and understanding of the causes of infection, how infection enters the body, the spread of infection and the ways in which the body fights infection. You will also gain an understanding of antiseptic, sterilisation and disinfection procedures as well as how to dispose of infected material.
