Come on in to Fairtrade

As part of Fairtrade Fortnight, the Dundee Fair Trade Forum are hosting a Fair Trade Information Event ‘Come on into Fair Trade’ at University of Dundee’s Dalhousie Building, Old Hawkhill on Wednesday 28 February 2018 at 5.30pm
This event will be of particular interests to local café, restaurants and businesses who are interested in finding out more about Fair Trade products and how sourcing or selling Fair Trade can support their business. Dundee is Scotland’s first Fair Trade City and the forum would like to encourage more local business to source and sell more Fairtrade products.
Corporate behaviour is being scrutinised as never before by an increasingly discerning public who want to make ethical choices when accessing services or spending their money. Fairtrade allows you to demonstrate that you are an ethical and caring business.
This event will include the opportunity to hear from two coffee producers from the Mzuzu Coffee Planter Cooperative Union in Malawi. Bernard Kaunda, Acting Chief Executive, and Christopher Gondwe, Quality and Processing Executive, will give a presentation on how the Fairtrade system has improved their business. There will also be the opportunity to hear from Scottish coffee suppliers about the benefits of Fairtrade for their businesses.
